Available as a one full-day class, this course teaches you the foundations, where you create your own stained glass panel. Under Matt’s close supervision you will adapt one of our designs, learn how to cut glass, lead-up the panel and then solder it.
You will get to walk away with your own creation that very day.

Prices- All classes are £175 each. This includes all glass, materials and equipment. All classes must be paid for in advance. Please check the terms and conditions, which can be found at the bottom of this page, before booking. Overview - What to expect on the day
We provide a selection of designs for you to choose from. You can then adapt one of our designs to make the piece your own. Under Matt’s close supervision you will adapt one of our designs, learn how to cut glass, lead-up the panel and then solder it.
As part of your booking, you will be provided with all glass, materials and equipment to make an approx 30cm x 20cm leaded panel.
What you can make - The course allows you to create your own panel from one of our designs. If you have your own design ideas please contact Matt before the class.
Materials - All glass, materials and equipment will be provided.
Where - Unit 26, Manor Road Business Park, Scarborough, YO12 7BE
Parking - There is adequate free parking opposite the studio
Refreshments - There will be tea, coffee, biscuits and homemade cake provided throughout the session. Feel free to bring your own lunch. There is the large central Scarborough Sainsbury’s about 10mins walk from the studio, as well as many shops on Falsgrave a similar distance away.
Accessibility and safety - While creating and working on the projects, you will be standing, which will make up a large portion of the day, so please be aware of this. There are chairs if you want a rest from standing. Please also wear comfortable closed shoes. I want to make the course accessible to all, so if you have any disabilities or physical limitations please let me know and I will do my best to accommodate everyone. The class is on the mezzanine floor, so you will need to be able to climb one set of stairs.
Health & Safety - You will be handling and cutting glass as well as using a hot soldering iron. Training will be given but in a glass workshop environment there is always the possibility of getting glass cuts, picking up small glass splinters or burning yourself. Safety glasses and gloves will be provided and are compulsory. When soldering, a mask will be provided and must be worn.
Liability - We will provide a health and safety briefing at the beginning of the class. I do have Public Liability insurance but cannot be held responsible for any illness or injury that occurs from not following the health and safety guidance given.
Terms & Conditions -
In the unfortunate event that a class, workshop or course that you are booked onto has to be cancelled for any reason, I will let you know as soon as possible and either offer an alternative or a refund.
If you are unable to attend a class, workshop or course that you are booked onto please let me know as soon as possible. If this is within 4 weeks of the course start date then all payments will be refunded.
If you do not wish to continue on a class, workshop or course half way through, you will not be eligible for a refund.
You may swap your place with someone else, but please let me know in advance and provide me with their contact details.
