Stained Glass, Scarborough - Courses

Firstly, thank you for your patience! After this long wait, I'm very pleased to say that I’m finally set up in my own Scarborough studio to get some stained glass courses up and running from October 2026.

One-day stained glass workshops

Have you always wanted to learn the art of leading stained glass? Come and have a go by adapting one of our designs, cutting glass and leading-up your own panel.

At the moment, classes run on Saturdays, however if you are free on a particular day during the week, I am currently gathering interest so please contact me with your availability.

Stained glass evening classes

Available in 4 or 8 week blocks so you can commit to any size project and continue if you want.

Have you always wanted to make your own leaded front door panel, create a collection of copper foil hangings, fuse your own large artwork or paint on glass? If so, this is for you.

This workshop is flexible and the aim is to allow people to explore whatever project they want, under the guidance and tutoring of Matt.  An example could be for you to experience the one day beginner class over four sessions, then move in any direction you want, or explore any glass project of your choosing right from the beginning. We will chat before the start so I can tailor the sessions.

At the moment, classes run one evening per week, however if you are free at a different time during the week or during the day on a regular basis for 2.5hrs, I am currently gathering interest so please contact me with your availability.

Fused glass classes

Come and spend half a day exploring fused glass and getting creative.  Come see the fused glass pieces Matt created for this year’s RHS Chelsea Flower Show installation and make your own seasonal fused glass decorations, mini garden sculpture or art piece.  This class is really about freedom of expression and experimentation where you can come and explore with whatever colours and patterns you want. 

At the moment, classes run on Saturday mornings, however if you are free at a different time during the week on a particular day, I am currently gathering interest so please contact me with your availability.
